Hello everyone! My name is Carter Bowers and I will be contributing to the "Pan and Tilt Film Blog" with Trevin. I am a good friend of Trevin's and I wanted to help him continue his work from "Trevin's Take" as well as add my own bits to this blog. I hope that what I have to say here will be entertaining as well as informative. Trevin certainly is the main writer of this blog and he knows much more about movies than I do. But perhaps that gives me a different point of view on things. We don't see eye to eye on every movie and I am thankful for that. Hopefully all these different viewpoints can spark discussions and ideas from everyone. I am very excited to work on this blog and I hope I can add as much as I possibly can to it.
My taste in movies is very broad to say the least. I would have to say my favorite movie of all time is Star Wars [A New Hope] not because it is a great movie but for more sentimental reasons. It is probably the first movie I can remember watching and truly being captured into the story and the characters. I like movies that do that; the ones that pull you in and really make you connect with the characters. I love movies that are considered classics, such as Forrest Gump or The Godfather. And sometimes I like movies just for their entertainment value, such as The Hangover.
I will occasionally will add various "All Time" or "Best Of" lists on here and I hope that people [including Trevin] will contribute to these ideas as well. Trevin added a Top 10 movies of the year so far list earlier and that is a good start. I hope that everyone will enjoy my contributions to this blog and I look forward to adding more to it.
